Students who plan to pursue licensure or certification should be aware that requirements for professional licensure and certification can vary drastically by state, and these requirements are subject to change at any time. While an academic program may originally meet the educational requirements for licensure, changes in requirements or laws could impact the program鈥檚 ability to meet new educational requirements. Students should always check with their state licensure board to confirm licensure requirements.
All of 麻豆社 State University鈥檚 licensure or certification track programs meet Commonwealth of Kentucky educational requirements for licensure or certification and/or prepare students to take a Kentucky licensing exam. Determination outside of Kentucky varies by program. See the table below to search 麻豆社 State University licensure track program determinations by state.
麻豆社 State University faculty and staff will make a good faith effort to assist you in ascertaining the state requirements and any reciprocity agreements for a state outside of Kentucky. If you wish to return to your home state or move to another state after successful completion of your degree program and/or obtaining your Kentucky State license/certification, you will be governed by the rules and regulations of the relevant state professional licensing board where you wish to practice.
Relocating during the course of a program to another state may impact state licensure requirements, access to practicums, and/or federal financial aid. Prior to considering relocation, please contact your program to discuss the potential impact for your individual situation.
State Licensing Information by Degree Program
The Accounting BAB/BSB program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
Program graduates meet the Bachelor鈥檚 degree requirement for CPA licensure. However, most U.S. states and territories require a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree and a total of 150 credit hours of education for full licensure. The Accounting BAB/BSB program consists of 120 credit hours toward the 150 hour requirements for full licensure as a Certified Public Accountant in any state or U.S. Territory.
Therefore, 麻豆社 State University CAN NOT DETERMINE if this degree meets the requirements for professional licensure in your state or territory.
Students may be permitted to sit for the CPA exam, while working toward the additional 30 hour requirement, in the following states:

Additionally, each state may have requirements related to work experience, residency, ethics training, age, etc. for licensure/certification that can be found on the . The additional 30 credit hours are often completed through minors, certificate programs, graduate coursework (e.g. MBA), etc.

The MSOT program MEETS educational requirements to sit for the national certification examination for occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
The Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology is accredited by the Council of Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
The Speech Language Pathology MS program meets requirements to allow students to be eligible to apply for the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, which is required in most states in addition to coursework.
